Best diffusion filter!

"I love diffusion filters, so I own filters from several brands—like Black Mist, White Mist, Nostalgia, Lucid Dream, Cine Soft, and more. For reference, I use a Sony a1m2, a7c2, and several GM lenses. My ratio of video to photography is 5:5. Compared to other filters, the Moment CineBloom filter definitely feels natural. I love that it’s subtle without being over the top. In particular, the 10% is great for smoothing out skin tones and nicely softening that razor-sharp resolution, while the 20% works really well when I want a stronger effect. I think I’ll be using the 10% filter as my daily filter for a while. I hope Moment creates a wider variety of diffusion filters with different moods in the future!"

An absolute shame the 5% CineBlooms have been discontinued.

"Most of my lenses have Moment 5% CineBloom filters on them in place of a UV filter. The 5% is subtle, it takes the edge off of clinical lenses and high MP cameras, and if you shoot with a lens hood the effect is hardly noticeable. They're wonderful, without being too much for every day use. They're unfortunately now discontinued, and while I've stocked up on most sizes, a couple popular ones are impossible to find anywhere. Tiffen Pro Mist filters are still available of course, but I prefer the mids in the CineBlooms. Bummer."

Moment's filters are fantastic

"I already own the CineBloom 10% Diffusion Filter and have been so impressed with it that I'm excited to pick up the CineBloom 5% Diffusion Filter while it's on sale. As always, Moment's filters are fantastic. The CineBloom beautifully blooms highlights and wraps images in a dreamy, cinematic glow without sacrificing detail. It adds that perfect touch of atmosphere and character to both photos and video. I've also built a collection of Moment filters, including their UV filters, Circular Polarizer (CPL) Filter, and CineFlare Streak Filters. Every product I've purchased has exceeded my expectations in both performance and build glass quality. They've never let me down. The quality, craftsmanship, and results keep me coming back, and I'm already planning to add their ND filter set to my collection this Thanksgiving. Highly recommended for anyone looking to elevate their photography and filmmaking gear!"

Cool

"I love it, but i wish the effect was more visible. Probably I should have take the 20%, so my mistake! By the way, good filter!"

Alessia C. (4/5)

"A really awesome filter. The 10% is perfect - I can leave it on my camera all day in bright light without it having any noticeable effect, but it automatically kicks in during sunset or pinpoint light situations. The glow is so dreamy. Build quality is also amazing. The only issue I've had is that because it diffuses the light, the autofocus on my Fujifilm XT3 can struggle slightly in very harsh sunset lights. Overall highly recommend!"

Q&A

Can this VND/Cinebloom be used with the 67mm QuickLock Filter Mount for iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max?
Yes it can!
Is there a lens cap you would recommend to work with this filter (82 mm)?
Hey Ryan! While we didn’t design a dedicated cap for the CineBloom VND filter, you can use any standard front lens cap in the matching size. For example, if you have a 82mm CineBloom VND, a regular 82mm universal lens cap will fit perfectly. Szabi - Gear Guide
If i shoot videos in log using the CineBloom does it come out with the same log profile but just softened highlights?
Hey Pratik! You’ll still be recording in your camera’s log, so the base image retains the same dynamic range and color data. What CineBloom does is soften highlights and reduce digital harshness, giving a more ‘film-like’ glow, but it doesn’t alter the log curve, so you still need to color grade in post like you normally would.
