"The insights, experience and approachable knowledge he shares make this a course I will watch over and over."

For rookies

"Definitely a course for rookies (me) who have no idea about the concept. If you're already family with the concept though, you might leave feeling "eh". But I'm to the latter. I left feeling like I learned enough to improve my photography skills"

Adubise (5/5)

Very Inspiring

"Thank you for making this course available, I truly enjoyed learning about your composition and editing techniques! So inspiring!"

Janice (5/5)

Inspiring

"Loved it, I didn’t learn much as I understand compositions very well but it motivated me to the fullest and I’ll be watching more than once. Highly recommend if you’re in a creative rut even."

"In lots of words: Brian's expertise is clearly fueled by his passion for taking and making great photos. The positivity and lightness he brings to his composition in general and particularly the film review in this series makes it super fun to watch, adding the reminder that photos aren't always perfect—it's up to you as the photomaker to, as he says, ''breathe the life'' you saw in them in the first place. You'll be itchy to get out and shooting with Brian Chorski-coloured glasses after viewing. In a few words: Watch it it's worth it."

Christine (5/5)

Enjoyable but not very educational

"Composition is the number one thing I've been trying to improve in my photography the past year. Overall I did enjoy the course and really like Brian's work. But didn't really feel like I learned anything in this course. It might be good if you're just starting out in your photography journey but not for the more advanced photographer. It just didn't feel like what it was advertised to do. It was seemed more like "hey this is a cool composition let me make this photo" instead of "this is a cool composition and this is why I think it is"."

Loved it

"I personally loved this course. Being local to the Bay Area, I have often visited some of the locations that Brian covers here. It was eye opening to see how Brian thinks about composing the different elements in these locations to make beautiful photographs.Watching him work, I realize that I need to stop and think a little more about the small details before just clicking away. Its so much fun to see how Brian sees beauty in some of the simplest things.Thank you Brian"

"I love being let in to Brian's creative process. As a novice photographer, I enjoyed the simplicity of the way he explained everything. Planning a trip to Chinatown in Chicago, as he's inspired me to get into the streets and start shooting. Thanks for the inspiration Brian!!"

Brian G. (5/5)

three cheers for composition!

"brian is so talented! this composition class just highlights his knowledge of photography. as a newbie to film photography i found this course so interesting and helpful! it was fun to tag along to brian's fave spots and hear what goes through his mind when composing a photos. the editing portion was an added bonus- learned lots that i can apply to both film and digital photography!"

Michele S. (5/5)

Captures the Essence of Photo Composition!

"Brian does a wonderful job of verbalizing what he is seeing and thinking when surveying different city / land scapes and composing a photo. Learning how to take a bit more time to compose a shot, pays benefits in having to spend less time in post-processing and getting a better overall photo. Loved how he didn't "force" shots just for the sake of taking a picture. And how he shared simple editing processes with the goal of having the finished photo look like what he saw in real life! Also intrigued by how he sees his photos becoming a historical record of sorts. Being able to look back at a photo and see how life was lived! Highly recommend this course!"
