What is the difference between CINEVISTA and CINEVISTA 210 Powergrades/LUTs?
Hey Andrew! The CineVista 210 is totally different from the original CineVista Powergrade/LUTs. They are 2 different types of Powergrades/LUTs essentially. The original CineVista consists of 3 punchy looks but the CineVista 210 provides just 1 main LUT with various intensities which is different kind of film emulation look than the regular Cinevista, emulating 16mm and 35mm film. Hey Jakob! The CineVista & CineVista 210 are two separate types of Powergrades/LUTs. They are 2 different types of Powergrades/LUTs essentially. Can I use this with my Iphone log format?
Hey SImona! The CineVista does not have an Apple Log specific LUT. But if you’re using DaVinci Resolve, there is a simple workaround. You can either convert the AppleLog footage to Rec709 or to ArriLogC3 at the very beginning using a Color-Space Transform node (CST) and then you can use the Rec709 or ArriLogC3 LUT respectively depending on which colorspace you have transformed it into. But if you are looking at the CineVista 210, then it already comes with a AppleLog specific LUT so you can just directly apply that. Hi, I'm a fujifilm xt 3 user, really like this look. Just wondering if this would work well with FLog, and also what if I'm only use the Free Davinci ? Since some FX is only in the Studio version, thank you!
Hey Harry! You can use the CineVista Film Emulation Powergrade with the Free version of Davinci Resolve for the most part. One plugin that won’t work is the Film Grain as it used the Film Grain OFX which is only available in the Studio versio and not in the free version. And it will work with FLog since the Powergrade starts off with a CST node which is meant to convert any type of footage. Make sure you use the following settings in CST to get the correct results: Input Colorspace is: Rec709, Input Gamma is: FLog. The output colorspace: is Rec709 and Output Gamma is Cineon Film Log.
