Charismatic Instructor, Good Course. But Lacking some Structure.
"Benji is a charismatic instructor, and the course is filmed well, which makes it engaging from the start. I got the sense that he may have had a structure in mind, but the presentation sometimes felt more spontaneous than guided. That style can be refreshing, but I occasionally found myself wishing for clearer, more intentional takeaways. It left me feeling like something was either missing or a bit unnecessary at times — for me, a paid course should feel more focused and structured than an educational YouTube video — even though the core content was valuable."

Getting to watch a master at work!
"Hope I don't embarrass Benj, but he is without a doubt one of the best wedding photographers in the world. To echo an oft-repeated truism, while becoming an excellent photographer (or an excellent anything) is a complex undertaking involving years of hard work and perseverance, so much true success in life seems to boil down to simple things like treating others well. I've been a fan of Benj's work for several years, and apart from its obvious quality, I've always been impressed by his authenticity and humility, two traits which regrettably seem to be absent in many photographers in this industry. Watching him interact with the two couples during this course was so helpful and refreshing because it was obvious he wasn't ever trying to talk to them in a certain way to get them to do something; he was just being himself around them. As a result, the images turned out amazing. Thanks Benj!"

Helpful & authentic course!
"I learned a lot from Benjs course and especially appreciated the editing tips section! I enjoyed hearing his behind the scenes thought process on composition and the intentionality and philosophy behind each photo taken."

Leveling Up
"Though I still feel like a newbie to the photography world, Benj made these lessons feel like I was talking to a friend and a kindred spirit. I watched it in two parts, each time before weddings I was nervous about. It's helped me feel more confident and ready to keep moving forward in growing in my craft but also ready to keep serving my couples well by being present and focusing on the moments that matter most."

Loved the course!
"Benj has such a down to earth, easy to learn from vibe! From someone just starting out their photography journey, it was super insightful to see the behind the scenes interaction from a shoot and how to make a potentially awkward situation more natural. Love your work and definitely look forward to more educational content in the future!!"

Great!
"Love the tips on engaging with clients and also on the editing process. Would also appreciate having some scenes shot in more concrete surroundings. Dont live in a country with a lot of nature-y options!"

Insightful!
"What I took most from this lesson is that connection between the couple, and ensuring your direction feels comfortable and natural for the couple, is more important than the tons of poses you are trying to nail! Benj offers a lot of advice that compliments his vision of allowing the most natural experience...including why he shoots his particular focal lengths and such! Very interesting and worth the price of admission to support and learn from one of the best in the Pacific North West!"

Really Helpful!
"Really enjoyed this lesson! Benj keeps things informative but approachable. I like that he often reiterates how certain things are just his style but encourages people to find what they like/what works for them. I always really like seeing the behind the scenes of an actual shoot and was impressed at how little directing he had to do - it really is just letting the people be themselves and the poses/shots will come! Also found it helpful that the lesson touched on the editing process - I've just started to delve into Lightroom and it's quite overwhelming so this lesson gave me some great tips and tricks."
